Who What Where

My name is Lynn, and I'm a 28 year old student, designer, and future art teacher from Charleston, South Carolina. Pizza makes me happy. Also, red wine, knitting, cleaning, good green, sunshine, and headshotting angry kids on XBL. I started this website in March of 2008 as a place for me to write a lot about nothing. It's where I share my opinions and vent my frustrations, both of which I have more than enough of. It's also cheaper than therapy. Want more?

A New Month, A New Look

Click for Past HeadersI'm actually a day early with this, but that's because starting tomorrow, I'm going to be short on the available free time again. So here it is, after more than six months, I've finally given the site a face lift. I'm desperate for Spring, so that combined with listening to High Contrast's Confidential ended up spawning what you see. I'm not too keen on the heading and link colors I've chosen, though. That was done in a hurry, so if they don't grow on me, I'll probably change them.

Anyway, these last few days have been awesome because I've been able to pretty much do as I please. It's been a while since I last had a work-free weekend, so I've definitely made the most of it. Things in my life are coming back into balance, and as much as I tend to complain about being so busy all the time, I've realized I miss having things to do all the time when there's nothing to do. Maybe that's why I've become so much more interested in all my hobbies again. Or, maybe it's just nice not having a major distraction around anymore.

Whatever the reason, the creative energy is flowing more than it has in years and I couldn't be more pleased. Going back to school was an awesome decision.

I like the colors (except the green which is retina searing); the blue is very serene

It is a bit of an acidic green, isn't it? lol

Beautiful! I love the green, but turquoise and lime green are my favorite colors. ;)

Love it! The artwork reminds me of a Monet. Very soothing and I also like the green (surprise).

Thanks! This is the photo I started out with. The finished result isn't anything like I set out to do, but that's usually what happens. I do like the style, though, so I may use the same technique again to do a full size picture.

I like the header image. Reminds me of van Gogh's "Starry Night" for some reason.

I like it! Perhaps I need to pay you to come up with something new for me! I want to do something, but just haven't done much...

Jen, I could totally make something for you whenever I get the time. I've never used Blogger before, though, so I'm not sure how much control you get over the design and stuff.
