Because I’m in school Tuesday through Saturday, I’m almost always thrown off as to which day of the week it is. I could have sworn it was Wednesday, but I guess it’s Thursday. Nevertheless…
GPOYW - I was a brunette for the day. We had to wear some kind of wig or hairpiece at school, so I borrowed a wig from a friend. Even though I have no intentions of going dark any time in the foreseeable future, I do really want my hair that length, so I’m now considering extensions. For a long time, I’ve been saying I’m not going to cut my hair (aside from regular trims to keep it from looking ratty) until it’s past my boobs, but that’s at least another year away, and I’m not that patient.
This is school-related.

Well, I am still too lazy to actually write the story about how I switched career paths, but because I finally just renewed my domain (one day before expiration), I feel I need to do what I can to start updating more often.
So, here’s a picture (featuring my friend Lauren) that shows what I do now, and it’s exactly what I started out doing ten years ago before I met the ex-husband. Isn’t it funny how some things in life come full circle?
Also, LotsofNothingess.com will be four years old tomorrow. The content has come and gone, and for the most part the site has lived up to the name well. If I had continued writing on a regular basis and kept it all on here, what a story it would be!

Smart Women Smoke More Weed -- It's Science! -
Come to think of it, of all the females I know who smoke, I definitely wouldn’t consider any of them lacking intellectually. And, I know some dumb bitches.
This morning I got the urge to do some drawing, so I pulled out my oil pastels and got to work. Before I knew it, several hours had passed, and I had a nearly finished piece in front of me. Granted, it’s a tacky ocean sunset picture, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I started and finished a drawing that I had done for pleasure rather than for school.
There’s still a bit more I’d like to do, but for now, it’s close enough to being done for me to feel like I should pat myself on the back. I have so many unfinished pieces lying around that, for a while there, I was thinking ‘unfinished’ was just my style.

On August 26th, the day of Hurricane Irene, I took Kahlua for a walk on the beach to check out the waves and watch some friends surf in that madness. They were giddy like kids on Christmas, but having been completely knocked around the day before, I had no intentions of joining them in the water. That night turned out to be a memorable one for me, so I especially love this photo. What has developed since then has been a refreshing break from the usual.
