365: Weeks Fourteen & Fifteen

I will admit that during these two weeks, I really started slacking off. Not much effort was put into some of the photos, and often times I’d find myself at the end of the day scrambling for something to take a picture of. Other days, I’d maybe take a picture with no intent to use it for Project 365, but then at the end of the day, having not taken any other pictures, I’d end up having to use that picture by default. Unfortunately, the slacking off only got worse, which is very apparent at the beginning of week sixteen.

These fourteen pictures are from the last two weeks Helen was visiting from Wales. During that time, we drove down to my parents’ house in South Carolina because my brother was home from Iraq on R&R and my sister-in-law and nephew had flown in from Texas. It was definitely a packed house. Looking back on these two weeks has really reminded me of what a wonderful time I had, and I am so thankful that Helen and I could finally meet and spend so much time together. She’s a true friend, and I really miss her.

  • 365: Weeks Twelve & Thirteen

Weeks twelve and thirteen cover my trip to San Diego to visit Adam, my birthday, and the first few days of Helen’s visit from Wales. It all went by way too fast.

    78/365 - Somehwere over the South-West

[June 10th] While flying to San Diego, I couldn’t believe how undeveloped such a large area of the South-West was. All I could think of was The Hills have Eyes.

  • Beat It (2.0)

What do drunk white boys do at four o’clock in the morning to celebrate their friend’s birthday? They recreate (poorly) Michael Jackson’s Beat It music video. That’s what! Sorry the quality is such crap, though. I swear it’s really not that dark in their garage.

(Don’t remember the original? Watch it here. Street gangs were so cool in the 80’s.)

  • I absolutely LOVE it when people have dreams about me. The crazier the better! This morning my good friend Patty sent me a message on myspace that had me dying with laughter, so I asked her if she was okay with me sharing it on here. She hasn’t replied yet, but obviously I’m posting it anyway. I’m sure she’ll be cool with it, but if this entry disappears, you’ll know why. Anyway, if you knew who Rick was, it would make the story much better, but I’m sure it will still be funny for those of you who don’t know Rick or Patty. If it’s not, oh well.

  • About a Girl and Her Website

For starters, a lot of things around here obviously aren't finished. I slacked off and then got anxious to just make the site public, so over time I will eventually finish everything. This little blurb will also be changed, so for now the quick story is that my name is Lynn; I am twenty-six years old; I've been married to the hubby for a little over five years now, and in a few short months we will be living in Japan. Despite being faced with ridiculous amounts of stress, life is good, and this is where I chronicle the little bits of nothingness from my life that I feel are worth sharing.
