This morning I got the urge to do some drawing, so I pulled out my oil pastels and got to work. Before I knew it, several hours had passed, and I had a nearly finished piece in front of me. Granted, it’s a tacky ocean sunset picture, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I started and finished a drawing that I had done for pleasure rather than for school.
There’s still a bit more I’d like to do, but for now, it’s close enough to being done for me to feel like I should pat myself on the back. I have so many unfinished pieces lying around that, for a while there, I was thinking ‘unfinished’ was just my style.
Plantbombing: Colorful Yarn-Wrapped Plants Soften Up The City
This is such an awesome idea. If I had a garden, or at least a balcony, I would definitely make a few.
That’s some creative recycling. The artist uses scraps of used rolling papers to make portraits of famous marijuana smokers, or at least that’s what I can gather from the poor translation. Apparently Jesus was a pothead too.
This can be found in a parking lot off of King and Calhoun in Charleston.
Well, thanks to Seth, we now know who did this totally awesome piece. I just need to rent The Holy Mountain now.
The Holy Mountain (1973)
While I still have no idea who the artist is for that last piece I posted, I have discovered that it is at least partially based on imagery from the 70’s mind fuck film The Holy Mountain.
If you weren’t already scratching your head and wondering what the fuck, well, here you go (NSFW).
This is nothing short of amazing, and if I had a framed print, I would hang it in my bathroom for people to ponder while they take a piss. I’d love to see more from the artist, but I unfortunately have no idea who they are.

I love this but unfortunately know nothing more about the artist aside from their Reddit profile, which doesn’t offer much. I’d really like to see more of their work.
Also, it’s nearly 2AM and I’m still awake. I tried going to bed two hours ago, but clearly that hasn’t worked out to my liking. The whole getting back on a normal sleep schedule thing is a major fail right now.
The other day, I reblogged Charleston City Paper and mentioned I would be walking in A Fashion Show on Saturday. Well, it ended up being a lot of fun, and I absolutely loved all of Erin’s pieces. She did an amazing job, and I was so happy for her afterward when many people stopped me to say that the look I was wearing was their favorite in the show. This picture does the skirt no justice, so hopefully more pictures from the show will surface soon. I really wish I could have kept it.
Also, that’s the Stella & Dot Bardot Spiral Bangle and Bardot Hoop Earrings I am wearing.
