GPOYW - This was taken on my twenty-sixth birthday. I’m about to turn twenty-nine at the end of June, and looking back at the last three years since this picture was taken is a little overwhelming. So much has changed, and that was really one of the last times I was happy before everything began to take a turn for the worse. By my twenty-seventh birthday, I was in my own personal hell, and it wasn’t until a few months before my birthday last year that things finally started improving. I can only hope the year to come has wonderful things in store for me.
GPOYW - Here’s an old one from back when I was eight. It would probably be fun to recreate this photo, but I doubt I’ll ever get around to it.
Yesterday was Wednesday apparently. I guess I was too busy to notice because I’ve had this photo in my drafts since Sunday to use for GPOYW. Oops.
Anyway, there are three things to note. 1.) I love my necklace. 2.) That hat isn’t mine, but I do need a new Sunday Funday hat because my one from last Summer is shrunken and mangled, and 3.) I love how my armpit fat is eating the strap on my dress.
GPOYW - My mom was all about the descriptive captions on Polaroids. You know, just in case you looked back twenty-six years later and wanted to know what the fuck was going on.
GPOYW - Still no free time has been spent playing with hair and makeup and photoshop. Instead, a simple Instagram shot. Now it’s time for class. Freudian slip made my type glass. I want some wine. And a nap.
GPOYW - Because I’ve been feeling like hell for the past few days, which I’m beginning to think is due to the sudden pollen explosion here in Charleston and not just my inadequate sleep, I never took the time to doll myself up and photoshop some pics like I had planned for today. Instead, here’s a picture of me playing with an AR-15 and looking ridiculous as always.
GPOYW - Whenever I need an ego boost, I like to play with my hair and makeup, take some photos, and then photoshop the fuck out of them. This photo, despite a lack of creativity with the hair and makeup, is still one of my favorites. It’s from 2005, maybe a year earlier, and for some reason, I find it very spooky.
The last time I bothered taking a bunch of pictures to photoshop was back in November, and I’ve been using the resulting picture for just about everything ever since. I think it’s time for a new one, so maybe I’ll make that my goal for next Wednesday.
I missed GPOYW yesterday, so here’s a random picture of me on my way to North Carolina for Labor Day last year.
GPOYW - Still crashing at my parents’ place, I spend most mornings hanging out in bed and dicking around on the internet. Also, Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque is the shit. It’s super cheap and works really well. You can get a twelve ounce jar at Sally Beauty Supply for about six bucks, and it will last you forever.
GPOYW - While looking through all the photos I took, I realized the walls in my parents’ guest bathroom kind of resemble an old school Sears Photo Studio backdrop.
