DEAD ISLAND, the single craziest video game trailer ever! I don’t like zombie games but this sucker is intriguing. The game trailer is more creative than most movie trailers….remember what super mario bros looked like?
I’m always leery of games where the trailers show no actual game footage, so I did a little research, and it doesn’t seem like anyone has seen any yet. However, Dead Island will be a first person, open world game including a skill tree system and experience points system. There will even be a stamina bar that depletes as the character uses their weapon. When it runs out, you have to let it build back up before you can continue combat.
That sounds a lot like Fallout, but instead of a post-nuclear apocalypse, you’re dealing with the aftermath of a zombie outbreak on a remote island. While I don’t expect the actual game play to look anything like the promotional trailer, the concept is definitely something that has me interested.
